Welcome to the Corona Consort Karaoke Project!

We all miss playing ensemble music, so we at The City Musick have spent several weeks remotely recording and preparing some of our favourite pieces for various combinations of wind, brass and reed instruments — so you can play along with us! The new CCK Music Store contains a selection of music we have recorded in a “music-minus-a-part” style, which we will continue to augment with new play-along pieces on a regular basis. The instrumentation is deliberately varied, including mixed consorts of cornetts, shawms, dulcians and sackbuts, whole consorts of recorders, shawms and crumhorns and other combinations. You don’t have to have one of the specified instruments in order to play along, as the parts can be played on any instrument of your choice! The aim is for you to enjoy, albeit virtually, playing music with others — in this case some of the finest performers of historic music around.

How does it work?

Click here to go to the CCK Music Store and browse our titles. Click the piece of music you want to download to add it to the cart. When you have finished your selection, proceed to checkout where you can pay via PayPal. Add your discount code, if applicable (see below). The music will then be automatically sent to you and you can download it immediately.

Discounts
Buy 5 tracks and receive a 10% discount (code CCK5 at checkout)
Buy 10 tracks and receive a 20% discount (code CCK10 at checkout)

With each download you will receive:

  • Score pdf [and parts where necessary]

  • High quality audio file of the full piece

  • High quality audio files of the piece minus the part you wish to play.

You can then play along providing whichever missing part you wish to play. For best results play at a volume where you can hear all the other parts as equally as your own.

Please do not share these files with others. In this changed world the incomes of musicians with whom you love to make music on courses and listen to in concerts and recordings have disappeared. We have to find other outlets for our art and to generate income.

We sincerely hope you enjoy your investment in this wonderful and varied repertoire.
